Financial Planning Analyst

About the Role

We're looking for a sharp and proactive Financial Planning Analyst to join our growing EdTech company. In this role, you'll be a key player in our finance team, providing critical insights that drive strategic business decisions. You'll be responsible for building and maintaining financial models, Management Reporting, analyzing performance, and helping our leadership team understand the financial health and growth opportunities of the business. The ideal candidate is someone who not only understands the numbers but can also translate them into a clear, compelling story that supports business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, ensuring they are aligned with our strategic objectives.
• Develop and deliver insightful financial analysis to support decision-making and performance management across all departments.
• Manage SKU-level reporting and consolidate financial data to provide a comprehensive view of the business.
• Serve as a strategic finance partner to senior leaders, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to identify and analyze growth initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, capital investments, and cost control.
• Support the development of advanced financial models for forecasting, scenario analysis, and business planning.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external financial regulations, including IFRS/GAAP.

Qualifications

• Educational Background:

• MBA or Masters in Finance is preferred.
• Professional certifications such as CA, ACCA, or CMA are a strong plus.

• Experience:

• At least 5 years of experience in an FP&A or similar financial control role.
• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and reporting.
• Experience working with and presenting to senior management and cross-functional teams.
• Prior experience in a multinational or regional company is a bonus.

• Technical Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, including sensitivity and scenario analysis.
• Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with ERP systems like Odoo is beneficial.
• Familiarity with business intelligence tools like Power BI or Tableau.
• Strong understanding of IFRS/GAAP and internal controls.
• Experience with data analytics and dashboard reporting.
