Financial Controller (audit)

As a Controllership & Financial Reporting lead, your role involves overseeing the controllership function, including financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. You will also be responsible for managing and coordinating insurance policies across group companies to ensure adequate coverage and regulatory compliance. Your key responsibilities include: - Negotiating terms, premiums, and claims processes with insurance providers and brokers to optimize coverage and costs. - Overseeing the preparation of accurate financial statements and reports for timely and compliant submissions. - Developing and implementing robust internal controls and processes to improve operational efficiency and mitigate financial risks. - Collaborating with various departments to ensure proper allocation and management of insurance-related costs. - Monitoring insurance claims, ensuring timely follow-ups, and resolving issues efficiently. - Leading month-end and year-end closing processes for accurate and timely reporting. - Conducting regular reviews of insurance policies to identify improvement opportunities and cost savings. - Providing actionable financial insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making. Qualifications: - Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) - Experience: Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in controllership or finance, with a proven track record of managing insurance for group companies. - Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting principles, regulatory compliance, and risk management. Skills: - Excellent negotiation skills and experience dealing with insurance providers. - Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle). - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. - High attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for seamless collaboration with teams and external partners.,
