Financial Analyst

A retail compnay is hiring financial analyst for kolkata location.

Job Summary:

• Prepare and manage daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports covering revenue, expenses, and profitability.
• Validate, reconcile, and audit financial data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Design and develop data visualization dashboards (Excel / Power BI / Tableau) to present key financial metrics.
• Perform trend analysis, variance analysis, and provide meaningful insights to management for decision-making.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather and consolidate financial data across departments.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities through data-driven analysis.
• Ensure timely delivery of all reports and maintain documentation for audit trails.
• Identify areas of data discrepancies and initiate corrective measures.
• Support process improvement initiatives related to MIS automation and data management.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of Excel (Advanced level), including Pivot Tables, Lookups, Macros, and Dashboards.
• Working knowledge of Power BI / Tableau for data visualization preferred.
• Good understanding of financial statements, P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow reporting.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work with tight deadlines and large data sets.

Qualification:

• Bachelors / Masters degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, or related discipline.
• Professional certifications like MBA (Finance), CMA, or CA (Inter) would be an added advantage.
