Financial Analyst - Intercompany

Role Overview: As a Financial Analyst at Stantec, you will play a key role in the Financial Services team, providing financial expertise in day-to-day operations of financial reporting. Your responsibilities will include preparing intercompany reconciliations, analyzing intercompany transfers, preparing journal entries, investigating variances, communicating with global entities, and assisting in the period end close process. This position offers an opportunity to work in the Pune office during UK hours. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare intercompany reconciliations and identify variances - Analyze and coordinate intercompany transfers monthly - Prepare complex journal entries for intercompany balancing and currency conversions under tight deadlines - Investigate and follow up on intercompany variances - Communicate with Global entities and provide intercompany guidance - Prepare other balance sheet account reconciliations as needed - Assist in the 5-day period end close process - Identify and assist with the implementation of business process improvements - Maintain process documentation - Perform various duties and projects as assigned Qualifications Required: - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel - Effective communication skills, including written and oral English language competency - Strong organizational skills to manage multiple competing priorities and firm deadlines - Attention to detail - Proactive mindset - Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Additional Details: Stantec is a global leader in sustainable engineering, architecture, and environmental consulting with approximately 32,000 employees working in over 450 locations across 6 continents.
