Role Summary:

The Team Leader – Accounts & Finance will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. The role involves supervising a team of accountants, managing financial processes, preparing MIS reports, ensuring statutory compliance, budgeting and supporting management in decision-making through financial insights and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounting Operations

• Supervise daily accounting activities including accounts payable, receivable, banking, and general ledger entries.
  
• Ensure timely and accurate posting of all financial transactions.
  
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and expense vouchers.
  
• Monitor and maintain books of accounts as per company policies and accounting standards.
  

2. Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and MIS reports.
  
• Assist in variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  
• Provide financial insights to management for business decisions.
  

3. Compliance & Audit

• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as GST, TDS, PF, ESIC, Income Tax, and other applicable laws.
  
• Coordinate with statutory, internal, and tax auditors for smooth completion of audits.
• Implementations of circulars / guidelines issued from time to time by various government authorities.
  
• Maintain proper documentation and support for all financial transactions.
  

4. Team Leadership

• Lead, guide, and mentor the team to ensure high performance and accuracy.
  
• Allocate responsibilities and monitor team deliverables.
  
• Conduct regular reviews and training to enhance team competency.
  

5. Process Improvement & Controls

• Identify gaps in existing processes and recommend improvements.
  
• Implement internal controls to ensure accuracy and prevent fraud.
  
• Support automation and digitization initiatives in financial operations.
  

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of accounting principles (Ind AS / Companies Act).
  
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally ERP, SAP, or similar).
  
• Good knowledge of direct and indirect taxation.
  
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  
• Strong communication and coordination abilities.
  
• Attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
