Finance Manager - Accounts

Role Overview: As a Finance Manager at Cquen Consulting, you will be responsible for maintaining books of accounts, preparing financial statements, handling budgeting and forecasting, ensuring compliance with statutory duties, and leading a team of accountants and finance executives. You will also liaise with clients to provide advice on accounting treatments and tax implications, coordinate with auditors, and report financial performance to the top management. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain books of accounts, bank reconciliations, and cash flow statements. - Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, MIS). - Handle budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. - Finalise accounts for clients across various sectors. - Review client MIS reports, budgets, and financial statements. - Ensure compliance with statutory duties, taxes, direct and indirect. - Coordinate with auditors and prepare audit schedules. - Supervise client projects, understand consulting needs, and manage deliverable timelines and team efficiencies. - Ensure clients" compliance with applicable tax laws (Direct and Indirect Tax). - Liaise with clients to provide advice on accounting treatments and tax implications. - Coordinate with internal audit, statutory audit, and tax teams for cross-functional assignments. - Lead a team of accountants and finance executives/associates. - Allocate tasks, review work, and ensure timely completion of deliverables. - Report financial performance to the top management. - Provide training and mentoring to staff on accounting best practices and regulatory changes. Qualifications Required: - Strong knowledge of accounting standards (Ind AS/AS), GST, TDS, and Income Tax. - Proficiency in Tally ERP, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software. - Advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of MS Office Suite. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent verbal and written communication. - Ability to handle multiple clients and deadlines. The ideal candidate should have at least 2+ years of work experience in the Finance, tax, or accounting domain. Professional qualifications such as Chartered Accountancy (CA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), along with a Master's in Finance/Accounts/Tax are preferred.
