Job Description

Job Summary:

Responsible for managing all financial aspects of the Business Unit. This includes budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, reporting, and supporting strategic initiatives. The role partners closely with BU leadership to drive financial performance, improve profitability, and ensure financial compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Planning & Analysis:

Lead the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes for the BU.

Analyze financial results, variances, and trends to provide actionable insights.

Prepare monthly management reports with commentary and KPIs.

Support scenario planning and business modeling.

2. Business Partnering:

Act as the key finance advisor to the BU leadership team.

Provide financial guidance for strategic initiatives and capital investments.

Partner with business teams to evaluate business opportunities and risks.

3. Reporting & Compliance:

Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.

Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP), and regulatory requirements.

Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits.

4. Cost Control & Profitability:

Monitor cost structures and identify opportunities for savings and efficiency improvements.

Analyze product/customer profitability and support margin improvement strategies.

Drive working capital improvements in collaboration with operations and supply chain.

5. Financial Systems & Processes:

Improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Support implementation of financial systems/tools in the BU.

Ensure proper internal controls are maintained.

Qualifications & Experience:

Chartered Accountant

10-12 years post qualification, & relevant experience in financial management, and in a business unit or divisional finance role.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion).

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Experience in new age companies, Educational organizations, Start-ups which have achieved scale, working in technology enabled space is a plus.
