Finance & Fundamental Equity Research Intern

About the Role

We are hiring a Finance Intern focused on pure fundamental research. The role includes understanding company financials, analysing annual reports, tracking quarterly results, and studying earnings concalls of Indian listed companies. No technical or chart-based analysis is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct India-based equity research across sectors.
• Analyse annual reports, quarterly results, and investor presentations.
• Study earnings concalls to extract management guidance and industry insights.
• Perform financial analysis using balance sheets, P&L, and cash flow statements.
• Track key financial ratios (ROE, ROCE, margins, debt, working capital, etc.).
• Prepare company research notes, investment summaries, and peer comparisons.
• Assist in basic financial modelling (growth, margins, forecasts).
• Monitor corporate announcements, market updates, and macroeconomic trends.

Required Skills

• Basic understanding of finance & accounting.
• Ability to read and interpret financial statements.
• Understanding of annual reports and management commentary.
• Good analytical and logical reasoning.
• Excel proficiency (basic formulas, tables).
• Interest in Indian equity markets and business models.
• Strong communication and report-writing skills.

Eligibility

• BBA, B.Com, MBA (Finance), Economics students.
• Freshers with strong interest in equity research may also apply.
• No technical/candlestick/chart analysis required.
