Finance Executive

Role & responsibilities:

The Finance Executive will be responsible for managing and overseeing financial activities at the plant level, ensuring accurate reporting, cost control, compliance, and financial planning. This role supports operational efficiency and strategic decision-making by providing timely and relevant financial insights.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the plant.
• Monitor plant-level budgets, forecasts, and actual performance.
• Assist in variance analysis and reporting to management.

Cost Accounting & Control

• Maintain and analyze cost records including BOM (Bill of Materials), labor, and overheads.
• Support standard costing and variance analysis.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and support implementation.

Inventory & Asset Management

• Monitor inventory levels and valuation.
• Ensure proper accounting of fixed assets and depreciation.
• Conduct periodic physical verification and reconciliation.

Compliance & Internal Controls

• Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and statutory regulations.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Implement and monitor internal controls at the plant.

Operational Support

• Collaborate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to align financial goals.
• Provide financial insights for capital expenditure proposals and ROI analysis.
• Support plant leadership in strategic planning and decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CA/ICWA/MBA preferred).
• 25 years of experience in finance, preferably in a manufacturing or plant environment.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, financial reporting, and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
• Proficiency in MS Excel and financial modeling.
