Job Summary

Financial Assistant

Beyond core accounting, this role requires a proactive individual to assist with operational audits, subscription renewals, and internal process improvements. If you have experience working in a group company atmosphere and possess advanced Excel skills, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

1. Core Accounting & Data Management

  • Multi-Country Bookkeeping:

    Handle data entry of purchase transactions, invoices, and receipts into

    Tally

    (imported from

    Zoho Books

    ) across all countries of operation.
  • Transaction Processing:

    Ensure all payment and receipt transactions are accurately recorded from bank statements into Tally.
  • Journal Entries:

    Pass regular journal entries, including rectification entries, depreciation, and intercompany transactions.
  • Ledger Maintenance:

    Reconcile Customer and Vendor ledgers to ensure zero discrepancies; ensure books of accounts are kept up to date daily.
  • Documentation:

    Maintain organized supporting documents for all financial transactions to ensure audit readiness.

2. Reconciliation & Banking

  • Bank Reconciliation:

    Prepare monthly Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS) and ensure no transaction is left unmarked.
  • Gateway Audits:

    Audit and reconcile statements from Credit Cards, PayPal, Paytabs, and other payment gateways.
  • Petty Cash:

    Manage data entry and reconciliation of petty cash transactions for all operational countries.

3. Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • VAT Coordination:

    Coordinate with VAT consultants, prepare necessary documents, and assist in filing VAT returns and reporting.
  • Financial Statements:

    Assist in the preparation of Monthly Profitability Reports and Annual Financial Statements (Country-wise & Consolidated).
  • Expense Analysis:

    Prepare monthly expense summaries for comparison, including outstanding and prepaid expense reports.
  • Deferred Accounting:

    Calculate and prepare entries for Deferred Revenue and Deferred Costs.
  • Audit Support:

    assist in final audits, tax return filings, and assessment requirement reports.

4. Operational Support & Internal Audit

  • Revenue Assurance:

    Audit all Vendor Invoices against Customer Invoices for accuracy.
  • Subscription Management:

    Manage customer subscription renewals, follow up on payments, and audit subscriptions maintained in the system.
  • CRM Audit:

    Audit the accuracy of deals registered on the CRM against supporting documents and payment tracks.
  • Process Improvement:

    Prepare and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the Accounting Department.
  • General Operations:

    Review and monitor the progress of projects, support tickets, leave records, and daily working activities as assigned by management.

Candidate Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • Experience:

    Minimum

    1 year

    of experience handling end-to-end accounting activities.
  • Education:

    Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
  • Software Proficiency:

    • Zoho Books:

      High proficiency is mandatory.
    • Microsoft Excel:

      Advanced proficiency required (Formulas, Tables, Macros, Pivot Tables).
  • Language:

    Fluency in

    English

    (Reading, Writing, & Speaking) is mandatory.
  • Environment:

    Experience working in a

    Group Company

    atmosphere.

Key Competencies

  • Ability to use smart, efficient methods (automation/macros) to deliver tasks quickly.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting concepts, policies, and debit/credit principles.
  • Discipline to work effectively in a permanent
