Finance Analyst - Operations

As a Finance Analyst - Operations at Momentive Business Services (MBS), your role will involve working with the line manager independently to ensure timely execution and delivery of commitments in the Operational Finance team. You will utilize financial analysis and data-driven insights to optimize operational costs and improve financial performance. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop, maintain, and continuously improve standard cost models for accurate cost calculations across diverse manufacturing operations - Manage and resolve cost-related queries, variances between Standard & Actual, and other discrepancies promptly to ensure accurate financial reporting - Align yourself with Senior Leadership's long & short-term strategy and contribute towards its realization - Prepare periodic (monthly/quarterly/yearly) reporting and documentation - Update one-pager/KPI for Site Leadership - Responsible for SAP Material costing across various plants - Analyze production variances (material/conversion) by site by BU and prepare Off-spec/Scrap reports - Ensure accuracy in the reporting process through an effective review mechanism consistent with the process - Support decision-making by analyzing and interpreting data, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending actions to management - Improve financial reporting by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending actions to management - Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal Momentive operational policies - Work closely as a Business Partner to establish policies & procedures, provide trends & forecasts by Site/BU - Drive standardized processes within Sector operations finance for Companywide consistency - Drive Lean in Operations Finance projects/reports through POU event (CI) using automation, TABLEAU, etc. - Handle ad-hoc requests from Stakeholders & Manager promptly for business continuity - Ensure compliance with US GAAP accounting standards and internal Momentive financial policies **Qualifications Required:** - MBA/CMA degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field - Strong Financial Planning & Analysis Skillset with experience in the manufacturing industry - 4-5 years of industry Finance experience with 3 years in progressive Plant Finance Controlling - ERP knowledge and experience (SAP knowledge is a plus) - Experience in a global environment - Good interpersonal & English Communication skills - Pro-active attitude, multitasking ability, and team player - Organizational and flexible skills **Preferred Qualifications:** - Strong SAP & BW knowledge - Proficiency in MS-Office, particularly Excel & PPT - Experience in TABLEAU will be a plus In this role, you will be accountable for qualitative data accuracy, program financial analysis & reporting, timely submission of monthly financial reporting, data-driven insights metrics, and technology & tools utilization. You will work closely with Sector Finance to produce periodic reporting of key metrics & other indicators to aid senior management in decision-making.
