We’re seeking a Loan Researcher who can act as a guide, advocate, and connector for people navigating complex financial systems. You’ll be the bridge between clients and lenders — helping people find the right loan, on the right terms, at the right time.

What You’ll Do

Research available loan options from banks, CDFIs, credit unions, and government programs

Match clients with the best possible loan products based on their unique needs

Build and maintain relationships with clients, lenders, and loan officers

Stay up to date on federal, state, and private lending opportunities

Educate clients on loan terms, eligibility, and potential risks

Follow up consistently to gather documents and maintain application progress

Help source and qualify new clients (lead generation, referrals, outreach)

Who You Are

A great communicator with strong emotional intelligence

Comfortable researching financial products and explaining them clearly

Passionate about helping people build stability and wealth through access

Curious, proactive, and comfortable navigating ambiguity

Organized and able to manage multiple clients or files at once

Requirements

1+ year of experience in lending, financial counseling, or loan processing/research

Familiarity with loan types (business, personal, SBA, housing, credit-building, etc.)

Comfortable using online tools, CRMs, and spreadsheets

Strong research and documentation skills

Bilingual (especially Spanish, Haitian Creole, Vietnamese, or others)

Experience working with CDFIs, nonprofits, or community lending programs

Knowledge of underserved borrower challenges (e.g., no credit, immigration status, informal income)
