Job Description

The primary responsibility of this position is to service, repair, overhaul, inspect, and identify faults on NOV Rig Equipment worldwide. You will also support installation and commissioning projects as needed, and perform mechanical and hydraulic servicing, troubleshooting, installation, and repair. It is essential to interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics to determine work procedures and identify/correct faults. You will be expected to make recommendations to enhance product and system efficiency while maintaining high operational levels. Additionally, preparing and updating relevant documentation, such as daily reports, survey reports, parts lists, and service reports, will be a part of your routine tasks. In case of significant faults or product failures, it is crucial to escalate them to the relevant departments and follow through to resolution. Effective communication with customers to provide regular status updates is paramount. Promoting Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) plans and supporting the continuous development of internal policies is a key aspect of this role. You will be required to respond to emergency calls for Rig Down situations as needed, collaborate with various departments to resolve equipment issues, and stay informed on industry developments and HSE requirements. Advising customers on equipment maintenance and upkeep as per manuals and product bulletins is part of the responsibilities. Ensuring fault finding, repair, and recommendations are conducted timely without compromising safety or quality is a critical aspect. You may need to support other departments and fulfill additional duties as per business needs while being prepared to travel regionally or internationally. Managing assigned tools and maintaining toolboxes, communicating regularly with Field Service Manager or Supervisor on all service aspects, completing reporting, downloading job packs, and preparing and submitting reports timely for billing purposes are also part of the role. Requirements for this position include a Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, a minimum of 3 years of work experience in a similar position, the ability to interpret engineering drawings/schematics and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems, willingness to travel globally and work in offshore/onshore environments, strong communication skills, and customer service orientation. Moreover, a commitment to safety and adherence to HSE standards are essential for this role.,
