Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Must know fiber splicing
Must have worked in leased line set up not in broadband
OTDR knowledge is must
Perform fiber optic and/or copper cable splicing for leased line circuits
Identify, trace, and verify leased line connections using network diagrams and test equipment
Install, repair, and maintain leased line infrastructure according to industry standards
Conduct testing (OTDR, power meter, continuity tests) to ensure signal quality
Troubleshoot faults and restore service within agreed timeframes
Label, document, and update records for leased line splicing and connections
Work safely on-site, including manholes, cabinets, and customer premises
Coordinate with network engineers and operations teams during installations and repairs

Preferred candidate profile

Proven experience as a telecom splicer (fiber)
Strong understanding of leased lines and point-to-point circuits
Ability to read and interpret network diagrams and circuit IDs
Experience using splicing tools and test equipment

OTDR knowledge must
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of health and safety procedures in telecom environments
