FIBER ENGINEER

You will be responsible for installing fiber optic systems, which includes cables, connectors, and related hardware, in a variety of environments such as residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Your primary task will involve ensuring the proper installation of the systems to enable high-speed data transmission and communication. In addition to installation, you will be required to conduct regular maintenance checks, troubleshoot any issues that may arise, and perform necessary repairs on fiber optic networks. This maintenance work is crucial in ensuring the continued efficiency and reliability of the systems. To evaluate the integrity of fiber optic cables and identify any network problems, you will utilize specialized equipment such as power meters and OTDRs. This testing and troubleshooting process will help in diagnosing issues and implementing timely solutions to maintain optimal network performance. As part of your role, you will be expected to maintain detailed documentation of all installations, repairs, and system performance. This documentation is essential for ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements. Collaboration is key in this position, as you will work closely with project managers, engineers, and fellow technicians to streamline network operations and enhance service delivery. Effective communication and teamwork will be critical in achieving operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
