The Fellowship in Pediatric Intensive Care is an advanced clinical training program designed to develop skilled specialists capable of managing critically ill infants and children in high-acuity PICU settings.
The fellowship offers structured, hands-on exposure to pediatric critical care, emergency management, and multidisciplinary clinical practice under senior consultant supervision.
This program aims to build strong clinical judgment, procedural competence, and confidence in managing complex pediatric ICU cases.
This fellowship is a resident-based program offered at Ankura Hospitals, Hyderabad.
• Manage critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU under guidance of senior intensivists
• Participate in daily ward rounds, case discussions, and multidisciplinary clinical meetings • Provide care for pediatric patients with respiratory failure, sepsis, shock, multi-organ dysfunction, and neurological emergencies • Assist in advanced airway management, mechanical ventilation, central line insertion, and emergency procedures • Monitor and manage post-operative and post-intervention complications in critically ill children • Perform patient evaluations, treatment planning, and ongoing clinical monitoring • Maintain accurate patient records, case logs, and procedural documentation • Participate in academic sessions, evidence-based learning, and research discussions • Attend simulation-based training, workshops, and skill development programs • Ensure adherence to patient safety protocols, infection control standards, and ethical clinical practices
