- Create Field Data Collection (FDC) forms from analog versions or examples from alternative digital platforms provided by various disciplines within Stantec ES.
- Develop solutions that improve collaboration, productivity, and knowledge sharing applications using the AGOL and Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
- Engage with ES Data Practice FDC leadership to better understand processes and formulate solutions given a set of requirements.
- Adhere to Stantec s data security requirements.
- Follow appropriate documentation and change control processes.
- Support Citizen Developers in the business in understanding how to use AGOL/Survey 123 to develop their own FDC forms
- Independently shepherd a solution from development to deployment to ongoing support.
- Support formal user acceptance testing activities such as test case creation, execution, and issue resolution.
- Responsible for production environment and evaluation of production code, including code review of junior and intermediate team members.
- Transparently communicate issues and resolutions, seek clarifications to align with project teams, and escalate with resolution steps taken.
- Provide support for the platform to ensure staff using the tools remain productive and billable.
Capabilities & Credentials:
- ESRI AGOL, Experience Builder, Survey-123, and Field Maps project and form development experience is required.
- SQL Server Reporting Services, Microsoft Excel & PowerBI experience a plus, but not required
- Capable of developing both prototype and enterprise-class solutions.

This role requires a senior professional app developer to work with a developer to build and support a Field Data Collection program for Stantec s 6,000-person Environmental Services Business Unit in North America (ES). This platform will be developed using a variety of tools, including ESRI s Arc GIS Online (AGOL), Survey 123, Workforce, FieldMaps, Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint and Teams. You will work with key business stakeholders to rapidly develop working prototypes, proofs-of-concept, and production business-facing digital forms and reports, adopting a fail-fast and iterative approach to simplifying processes and the overall user experience at Stantec.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience using the ESRI platform with an emphasis on their field data collection ecosystem (Survey-123 FDC form development, Field Maps integration, and Experience Builder)
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in a professional software development environment.
- Experience with independent solution development, testing and deployment when given a set of requirements.
- Experience using Microsoft s Power Platform.
- Experience with ESRI ArcGIS Online (preferred, but not required)
- Development of Azure logic apps and Azure functions to extend the Power Platform capabilities.
- Experience in test planning, preparation, and execution.
