Role Overview: As a Designer at Pulimoottil Silks, you will be joining our trendy team and embarking on a rewarding career journey. Your role will involve utilizing your strong knowledge in designing, material selection, and pattern development based on customer needs. It is essential to stay up to date with trending arrivals and fashion updates in the market. You will be responsible for exploring new technical skills, creating sketches, and utilizing design software. Conducting research on current fashion trends, consumer preferences, and market demand will be a crucial aspect of your role. Collaborating with patternmakers, seamstresses, and other production team members to bring designs to life is also a key responsibility. Your creativity and imagination should be excellent, with the ability to think outside the box. Fitting and altering prototypes to ensure proper fit and design integrity, presenting designs to clients and stakeholders, and overseeing the production process are also part of your role. Networking with industry experts and maintaining strong attention to detail under tight deadlines are essential qualities for this position. Key Responsibilities: - Stay updated with trending arrivals and fashion updates in the market - Explore new technical skills, create sketches, and use design software - Conduct research on current fashion trends, consumer preferences, and market demand - Collaborate with patternmakers, seamstresses, and other production team members - Fit and alter prototypes to ensure proper fit and design integrity - Present designs to clients, buyers, and stakeholders, and make changes based on feedback - Oversee the production process to ensure timely, budget-friendly, and high-quality designs - Network with other designers, buyers, and industry experts - Maintain strong attention to detail and work under tight deadlines - Build relationships with clients, buyers, and team members Qualifications Required: - Degree in Fashion Design and strong industry experience - Ability to complete customer orders within the delivery date - Team player with preferable good communication skills in Hindi and Malayalam Please note that the job type is full-time with a morning shift schedule.
