As a Designer at Pulimoottil Silks, you will be an integral part of our trendy team, contributing to a rewarding career journey. You will be responsible for utilizing your strong knowledge in designing, material selection, and pattern development based on customer needs. Staying up to date with trending arrivals and fashion updates in the market will be crucial to ensure our designs are current and appealing. Your role will also involve exploring new technical skills, creating sketches, and utilizing design software effectively. By conducting research on current fashion trends, consumer preferences, and market demand, you will be able to create designs that resonate with our target audience. Additionally, creating mood boards, selecting fabrics, patterns, and colors for production will be part of your creative process. Collaboration with patternmakers, seamstresses, and other production team members will be essential to bring your designs to life. Your excellent creativity, imagination, and ability to think outside the box will set you apart in this role. Fitting and altering prototypes to ensure proper fit and design integrity will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. Presenting designs to clients, buyers, and stakeholders, and incorporating feedback effectively will be crucial to refining your designs. You will oversee the production process to ensure timely delivery, adherence to budget, and meeting high-quality standards. Networking with other designers, buyers, and industry experts will help you stay current with industry trends and build valuable relationships. Your strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines will be essential in this fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build relationships with clients, buyers, and team members effectively.
