Fashion Designer-Men's Apparels (Casual Shirts)-Mumbai

As a Casual Shirt Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing seasonal collections aligned with brand identity and target customer preferences. Your role will involve conducting trend market research, translating trends into mood boards, creating concept boards, and selecting suitable fabrics and trims. In addition, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet quality, cost, and delivery targets. Your attention to detail and creativity will be crucial in this role. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor global and domestic fashion trends specific to casual shirts - Conduct seasonal market surveys and competitor analysis - Translate trend research into mood boards and design directions - Design seasonal collections aligned with brand identity - Develop original prints, embroidery designs, and wash effects - Prepare detailed tech packs with design sketches and measurements - Coordinate prototype development and ensure samples meet design intent - Source suitable fabrics, buttons, threads, and trims - Work with suppliers to develop custom fabrics or prints - Collaborate with merchandising, sourcing, and production teams - Present design concepts and seasonal collections to management - Support production teams during manufacturing - Maintain an organized database of designs, fabrics, and approved samples Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, or related field - Minimum 1 to 9 years of experience in designing casual shirts - Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, and CAD tools Incorporate your creativity and technical skills to bring seasonal collections to life, ensuring design integrity and meeting production requirements.
