Fashion Designer

You will be responsible for designing ethnic wear collections such as sarees, lehengas, and kurtis based on market trends and customer preferences. This includes creating design sketches, patterns, and overseeing sampling. You will collaborate closely with production and merchandising teams to ensure accurate execution of designs. Additionally, you will assist in sourcing fabrics, trims, and materials, and ensure timely delivery of design samples and bulk production. It will be essential to maintain design documentation and mood boards, as well as communicate effectively with the team and vendors. Qualifications required for this role include a minimum of 2 years of experience in fashion design, preferably in ethnic wear. You should have a strong understanding of fabrics, embroidery, color combinations, and ethnic silhouettes. Proficiency in design tools, whether manual or software-based, is necessary. Excellent communication and coordination skills are crucial, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced factory environment. While not mandatory, a degree or diploma in Fashion Design is preferred.
