Fashion Designer

You should have a Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Fashion Design from reputable institutions such as NIFT, Pearl, INIFD, or equivalent, and a minimum of 3 years of industry experience, particularly in Mumbai's fast-paced fashion/export industry. Your strong knowledge of fabrics, printing techniques, embroidery, and garment construction will be essential for this role. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CorelDRAW is a must, along with the ability to develop new designs for women's wear while keeping up with the latest fashion trends. Your responsibilities will include creating mood boards, color palettes, fabric swatches, and sketches using CAD or manual illustration, collaborating with various teams such as merchandising, sampling, and production, supervising sample development to maintain design integrity, and coordinating with Mumbai buyers or brands for custom design development. Additionally, you should be open to relocating or committing to long-term work in Surat, known for its growing textile and fashion sector. Your preferred skills should include experience in designing Western or ethnic wear, vendor or factory coordination, trend forecasting, design research abilities, and knowledge of textile surface embellishment and value addition. Excellent communication and team collaboration skills are crucial for this role, as you will be participating in exhibitions, buyer meetings, and design presentations. This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule, requiring your presence in person at the work location.
