We are looking for a skilled Fashion Designer cum Merchandiser (Sportswear) who can combine creativity with strong merchandising and production knowledge to drive our product development.

Role Overview

This role demands a professional with strong design sensibility and merchandising experience in sportswear and activewear. The candidate will manage the entire process—from trend research, design development, and sourcing to buyer coordination and production follow-ups.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development

• Develop innovative sportswear collections (Sando, T-shirts, Trousers) in line with brand identity.
• Create detailed sketches, tech packs, mood boards, and specification sheets.
• Research fabrics, trims, and global/domestic activewear trends.
• Ensure designs are functional, comfortable, and suitable for performance wear.

Merchandising & Sourcing

• Coordinate with buyers, suppliers, and production teams for order execution.
• Source performance fabrics, trims, and accessories at competitive prices.
• Manage costing, negotiations, and order placement.
• Oversee sampling, fit approvals, and production timelines.

Client & Market Engagement

• Conduct market research and competitor analysis specific to the sportswear industry.
• Build and maintain strong buyer and vendor relationships.
• Provide timely updates to clients and ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s/Diploma in Fashion Designing, Merchandising, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in sportswear/activewear design and merchandising (export or domestic).
• Proficiency in design software (Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of knitted fabrics, garment construction, and sportswear production.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and ensure on-time delivery.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹27,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
