Job Description

Job Summary:

The Factory Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production operations to ensure efficient manufacturing of FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) products. This role ensures production targets are met in terms of quality, quantity, cost, and safety while maintaining compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Management:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily factory operations, ensuring production schedules are met.
  • Monitor line performance and make adjustments to optimize output and minimize downtime.
  • Implement best manufacturing practices to achieve high efficiency and minimal waste.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Work closely with the QA team to identify and resolve quality issues promptly.
  • Enforce GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP, and other quality standards relevant to FMCG products.

Team Supervision:

  • Lead, train, and motivate production staff to maintain a productive and disciplined work environment.
  • Prepare and monitor shift schedules and assign tasks to team members.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and recommend training or disciplinary actions where necessary.

Health, Safety & Environment:

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Conduct safety inspections and promote safe working practices among all employees.
  • Report and investigate incidents, implementing corrective and preventive actions.

Maintenance & Coordination:

  • Liaise with the maintenance team to ensure machines and equipment are in good working condition.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, procurement, and logistics teams for raw material availability and finished goods dispatch.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate production records, reports, and logs.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as output, downtime, and efficiency.
  • Assist management in production planning, budgeting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering (or related field).
  • 3–7 years of experience in FMCG manufacturing, preferably in a supervisory or team leader role.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality systems.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
  • Proficient in MS Office and production management software (ERP systems preferred).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
