Facility Supervisor

The Facility Supervisor role in Coimbatore, India involves overseeing and coordinating maintenance activities related to electrical systems within the organization. You will lead a team of technicians, including electricians, plumbers, carpenters, painters, and fabricators, ensuring the smooth operation, repair, and upkeep of the infrastructure to maintain efficiency, safety, and compliance with regulations. Your primary focus should be on preventive maintenance, proactively maintaining buildings and electrical systems to prevent breakdowns and prolong electrical device lifespan. As a Facility Supervisor, your responsibilities will include supervising and leading a team of electricians or technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. You will plan and schedule preventive maintenance activities for electrical systems, lighting, and power distribution systems. Regular inspections of electrical equipment to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety standards are essential. Coordinating with other departments to schedule maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to operations is also part of your role. Troubleshooting electrical problems and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime will be crucial. Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment, and daily logs books, is required. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, including troubleshooting and repair techniques, along with familiarity with relevant regulations and safety standards. Excellent leadership and communication skills are necessary to effectively manage a team and collaborate with other departments. Flexibility to work non-standard hours and respond to emergency situations as needed is expected. Qualifications for this position include a Bachelor's degree or Diploma in ECE/EEE or ITI Electrical. A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a reputed industry, preferably within an electrical maintenance department, is required.
