Facility Manager

As a Facilities Manager at The Foundation School, your role will involve ensuring the smooth daily operation and maintenance of the campus. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient learning environment by coordinating with internal departments and external vendors. Your duties will include managing housekeeping, security, and maintenance staff. Prior experience in a school environment is highly desirable for this position. Key Responsibilities: - Supervise day-to-day facility operations including housekeeping, plumbing, and electrical maintenance. - Ensure cleanliness and functionality across classrooms, corridors, toilets, outdoor areas, and surrounding areas. - Ensure the availability of water at all times. - Manage infrastructure upkeep including lights, fans, doors, windows, furniture, and other fixtures. - Ensure proper and timely repair of all building and facilities problems. - Oversee building systems such as lifts, STP, UPS, and DG set; coordinate repairs with vendors. - Plan and execute preventive maintenance, especially during holidays. - Ensure timely waste disposal and maintain high hygiene standards. - Maintain records of inspections, statutory compliances, and asset management. - Manage vendor contracts, negotiate for best prices, and maintain a network of reliable service providers. - Communicate promptly with management and ensure all work is completed diligently. Qualifications & Skills: - Education: Any graduation. - Experience: 13 years in facilities or maintenance management (school experience preferred). - Strong skills in housekeeping supervision, vendor management, and preventive maintenance. - Excellent communication and coordination skills. - Must be fluent in Kannada, Hindi, and English. - Proactive, reliable, and detail-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility.
