Fabricator

As a fabricator, you will work with raw materials to create finished components and products by cutting, shaping, and assembling parts according to blueprints and specifications. You will use hand and power tools, machinery, and welding techniques to join materials such as metal, plastic, or wood. Key Responsibilities: - Interpret plans: Read and understand blueprints, sketches, and other technical documents to determine project requirements. - Shape and cut materials: Utilize tools like saws, grinders, and shears to cut and shape materials such as metal, plastic, or wood to exact specifications. - Assemble components: Join fabricated parts together using methods like welding, soldering, or bolting. - Conduct quality control: Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards, specifications, and are free from defects. - Maintain tools and equipment: Clean, maintain, and perform minor repairs on the machinery and tools used in the fabrication process. - Collaborate with teams: Work with engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure projects are completed on time and meet all requirements. - Adhere to safety protocols: Follow all safety guidelines and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent injury from hazards like flying debris. Qualifications Required: - Proficiency in reading technical drawings and blueprints. - Experience in using a variety of hand and power tools. - Knowledge of welding techniques and other methods of joining materials. - Ability to perform quality checks and ensure products meet specifications. - Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
