EY GDS Data and Analytics (D&A) Senior Consultant - PowerBI Specialist

Were looking for candidates with strong technology and data understanding in the data engineering space, having proven delivery capability. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm as well as a part of a growing Data and Analytics team.

Job Summary:

As a Senior Consultant in the Data and Analytics team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality BI solutions to our clients using tools like PowerBI , Tableau and ThoughtSpot. You will leverage your expertise in data visualization, search & AI-driven analytics, and data modelling to transform complex datasets into actionable business insights. Youll also collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable solutions that empower clients to make data-driven decisions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Be a computer science graduate or equivalent with 38 years of industry experience.

Minimum of 35 years of experience in data analytics, with a strong focus on PowerBI and ThoughtSpot.

Proficiency in PowerBI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modelling.

Hands-on experience with Tableau, ThoughtSpot, including worksheet design, Liveboards and integrating ThoughtSpot with cloud or on-prem data sources.

Experience with SQL and familiarity with database technologies such as SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, etc.

Ability to develop and maintain complex SQL queries to support BI reporting.

Experience with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.

Collaborate with data analysts and business users to understand data requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Strong project management skills and the ability to lead projects independently.

Experience in converting business problems/challenges into scalable and secure technical solutions.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members in best practices for data visualization and analytics.

Preferred Qualifications:

PowerBI certification or equivalent credentials.

Experience with other BI tools such as Tableau, QlikView, etc.

Experience with AI-powered analytics platforms like ThoughtSpot or similar.

Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.

Experience in a consulting environment, with exposure to various industries and business functions.
