Experienced NodeJs Developer

We are seeking a skilled Node.js Backend Developer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining backend services. The ideal candidate has strong proficiency in building scalable APIs, working with databases, and applying best practices in backend architecture, performance optimizations, and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain RESTful / GraphQL APIs using Node.js and associated frameworks (Express.js, NestJS, etc.).
• Write clean, modular, and well-documented code aligned with modern engineering standards.
• Integrate third-party services, microservices, and internal systems as required.
• Work with relational or NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
• Develop optimized queries, stored procedures, and data models.
• Ensure database performance, reliability, and data integrity.
• Participate in designing scalable and maintainable backend architectures.
• Optimize performance across services, ensuring low latency and high throughput.
• Implement caching strategies, load balancing, and asynchronous processing where applicable.
• Write unit tests, integration tests, and ensure high test coverage.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous code quality improvements.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve production and development issues promptly.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Collaborate on containerization using Docker and deployment into cloud environments (AWS/ GCP/Azure).
• Ensure backend services follow best practices in scalability, monitoring, and logging.
• Work closely with front-end developers, mobile developers, QA, designers, and product managers.
• Contribute to sprint planning, technical feasibility assessments, and effort estimation.
• Document technical specifications, workflows, and API contracts.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Node.js development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Express.js, NestJS, or similar frameworks.
• Solid understanding of asynchronous programming, event-driven architecture, and design patterns.
• Proficiency with databases: MongoDB
• Experience with Git-based version control and working within collaborative teams.
• Understanding of authentication mechanisms (JWT, OAuth 2.0, session management).
• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployments.
• Good understanding of security practices: OWASP guidelines, API security, and data protection.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of microservices architecture.
• Experience with message queues: RabbitMQ, Kafka, or AWS SQS.
• Exposure to TypeScript in Node.js environments.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies (React) for API alignment.
• Have worked on Chat Based applications
