Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Scope of job /Activities handled

Responsible for advising on all legal issues related to all SGS business divisions operations and laboratories in India.
Support local management, and functions as per requirement
Support and liaise with corporate legal counsel (outside) in all matter of consequence
Retain and manage outside legal counsel in cost effective manner
Provide legal assistance on specific projects as specified by the NCM from time to time
Contractual:
Assist the company managers in all contractual matters
Assist in drafting of contracts with clients and suppliers
Check contracts for compliance with legislation and internal rules
Participate in negotiating legal terms (liability) with clients and suppliers

a. Responsible for advising on all legal issues related to all SGS business divisions operations and laboratories in India.

b. Support local management of different Region in all legal matters

c. To review the contracts and other legal documents from the different business lines

e. To work on various projects as given by NCM/Manager

Key Deliverables

Claims and litigations:
Assist management in claims handling, reporting and investigations. Also manage legal proceedings initiated by or against the company

Assist the business with recent legal updates
