Key Responsibilities To ensure compliance of all TOSHIBA JOHNSON ELEVATOR (INDIA) PVT LTD staff on site with the approved site safety manual. To confirm, issue and record safety documents. To ensure that all equipments being used are duly certified with current certificates. Ensure employees working/visiting his area of responsibility adhere to approved site safety manual. Report any breaches of approved safety procedures to the Project Engineer/Project Manager. Develop and assist in executing health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines by conducting Safety Committee Meetings, site safety meetings, etc. Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety. Correct unsafe acts or conditions through the regular line of authority Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law. Provide guidance to team members as & when required for queries raised. Assist team members in conducting risk assessments. These highlight the areas of potential risk that must be reduced. Provide appropriate safety and health, accident prevention and investigation training for line managers & supervisors, and assist management & supervisor in investigating accident and developing measures to prevent recurrences. Monitor compliance to policies and laws by assisting team members in inspecting employees and operations. Assist team members in conducting frequent safety inspections and checks, especially High Risk activities such as during work & use of equipment used for working at height, electrical work, hoisting/lifting, etc Assist team members in inspecting equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes for worker's compensation claims Record all accident report in a timely and follow-up the corrective action. Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures. Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics. Provide promotional materials and develops recognition systems to promote safe and healthful work performance. To advise installation & maintenance teams in various safety and environmental related issues. To assist team members in ensuring that all work areas are prepared in accordance to specified norms.
