Executive - R&D (Synthesis)

We are looking for a skilled R&D Executive with 5-9 years of experience to join our team in the Agrochemical Industry in Gujarat. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Organic Chemistry and experience in Synthesis, HPLC, UPLC, and TLC.

• Understand project requirements and deliverables from supervisors/managers.
• Conduct literature searches using SciFinder, Reaxys, and other search engines.
• Discuss MSDS with supervisors/team members and identify potential safety risks.
• Plan, set up, monitor, and work on chemical reactions independently.
• Monitor progress of reactions using standard methods and analytical techniques.
• Isolate products and optimize reaction conditions for improved yields.
• Purify compounds using chromatography, distillation, and crystallization.
• Characterize and identify compounds using UV, IR, NMR, LCMS, and GCMS.
• Ensure parallel execution of multiple reactions conducted by self and the team.
• Scale up R&D developed products to kg scale and transfer technology to pilot plant.
• Troubleshoot issues for successful execution and inform supervisors.
• Discuss research findings and work plans daily with supervisors/managers.
• Document reactions, research findings/observations accurately in lab notebooks to ensure data integrity.
• Participate in project meetings and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for submission to managers.
• Write regular updates, final reports, PDR preparations, and interdepartmental communications.
• Perform regular lab duties including equipment maintenance, chemical inventory management, and lab cleanup.
• Maintain strict IP confidentiality and adhere to all related data privacy policies.

• M.Sc or Ph.D/Doctorate degree in a relevant field.
• Strong knowledge of Organic Chemistry and experience in Synthesis, HPLC, UPLC, and TLC.
• Ability to plan, set up, monitor, and work on chemical reactions independently.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to discuss research findings and work plans with supervisors/managers.
• Experience in documenting reactions, research findings/observations accurately in lab notebooks.
• Ability to participate in project meetings and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
