Role & responsibilities : Placement & Internships Support: Provide comprehensive placement support to students enrolled in the Online B.Sc Computer Science program. Develop and implement strategies to enhance employability and placement rates. Job Sourcing: Identify and source job opportunities relevant to computer science graduates. Build and maintain relationships with potential employers, industry partners, and recruiters to secure job openings and internships. Candidates with similar experience with existing relevant IT sector clients base knowledge is preferred. Career Guidance: Conduct career guidance workshops and individual development programs to assist students in their career planning and job search. Provide personalized career counseling to help students identify career goals and develop job search strategies. Workshops and Training: Organize and facilitate workshops on resume writing, interview preparation, networking, and other job search skills. Collaborate with industry experts to deliver training sessions and seminars on emerging trends and technologies in the computer science field. Individual Development Programs: Design and implement individual development programs tailored to the needs of students, focusing on skill enhancement and career readiness. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to help them improve their employability. Alumni Networking: Leverage alumni networks to provide mentorship opportunities and job leads for current students. Organize networking events and activities to connect students with alumni working in relevant industries. Placement & Internships Records and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of placement activities, student progress, and job placements. Prepare and present reports on placement statistics, employer feedback, and program effectiveness to senior management. Collaboration & Promotion: Work closely with academic advisors, faculty, and other departments to integrate career services with the academic curriculum. Collaborate with the marketing team to promote the placement services and success stories of students. Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, job market demands, and emerging career opportunities in the computer science sector. Use this information to guide students and align placement strategies with market needs. Required Skills/Expertise: Will be responsible for handling placements of Online B.Sc. (Comp Science) students. Responsible for creating strong relationships with Employers and Corporates. An ideal candidate will have strong network of Employers in the IT and Technology sectors. Will prefer candidates having exp in placements of either B.Sc (CS) or BE/BTech programmes or can consider candidates currently working as Student Counsellor with some prior exp in placements. Need young & energetic candidates with go getter attitude and excellent communication skills.
