Job Description

Position Summary:

The Executive – Manufacturing Trainer is responsible for planning and conducting training sessions for assembly line technicians, focusing on manufacturing techniques, safety protocols, discipline, quality standards, 5S practices, and continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizens. The role ensures technicians are equipped with the skills necessary to perform their tasks efficiently, safely, and to quality standards, thereby contributing to consistent and optimized production output.

The role also supports process sustainability, multiskilling initiatives, and operator engagement to foster a disciplined, safety-conscious, and high-performance culture on the shop floor.


Key Responsibilities:

Training Delivery & Development

  • Conduct structured induction programs for new technicians, introducing them to the company’s vision & mission, manufacturing systems, safety norms, workplace expectations, and the critical value of their contribution to product quality and organizational success.
  • Conduct structured onboarding training plans before new operators are assigned production tasks.
  • Conduct hands-on training for new hires and existing technicians across all assembly processes.
  • Instruct on product assembly techniques, work instructions (WI), and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Provide detailed training on documentation such as job cards, Material Dispatch Reports (MDR), and related records.
  • Train technicians on workplace safety protocols, PPE usage, and regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare, maintain, and continuously update training content including manuals, videos, and job aids.
  • Customize training to accommodate changes in products, processes, or technology.


Skill Development & Evaluation

  • Evaluate operator skills through structured assessments and on-the-job observations.
  • Maintain operator training records, skill matrices, and certification databases.
  • Conduct refresher training and coaching sessions based on evaluation outcomes.
  • Plan and execute operator multiskilling programs to enhance workforce flexibility and coverage.


Shop Floor Discipline & Safety

  • Reinforce shop floor discipline, 5S implementation, and good manufacturing practices.
  • Regularly conduct safety awareness sessions and monitor adherence.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement through operator engagement in Quality Circles and Kaizen activities.
  • Act as a liaison between operators and management to address line-level challenges and support resolution.


Process & Performance Improvement

  • Collaborate with the production and quality teams to identify and address process gaps.
  • Incorporate improvement initiatives into training and coaching frameworks.
  • Support implementation of Industry 4.0 tools and technologies where applicable.


Functional Competencies:

  • Proficiency in developing structured training modules, assessments, and learning tools.
  • Hands-on knowledge of manufacturing processes, tools, and shop floor operations.
  • Familiarity with Industry 4.0 practices and digital training aids.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and respond proactively to production floor requirements.


Skills Required:

  • Strong facilitation and instructional abilities.
  • Clear verbal and written communication in Marathi, Hindi, and English.
  • Ability to tailor training approaches based on learning styles and operator backgrounds.
  • Good analytical and interpersonal skills to manage training impact and engagement.


Working Conditions:

  • Role requires significant presence on the assembly floor, prolonged standing and exposure to shop floor environments.
  • Flexibility to work across shifts and weekends based on production needs.


Educational Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical / production / Mechatronics / Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment, preferably in a training or supervisory capacity.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma Yellow/Green Belt, or equivalent certifications are advantageous.
