As an Intellectual Property (IP) Specialist, you will be responsible for providing IP support and advice on intellectual property matters for ongoing projects in Europe, Emerging Markets, and North America. Your primary role will involve proactively identifying potential IP-driven opportunities and supporting various functions within Glenmark R&D, portfolio, and Business teams with IP support. **Key Responsibilities:** - Demonstrating well-versed knowledge of Patent Law provisions and a basic understanding of the Regulatory Law of the EU & Emerging Markets (BRM). - Providing IP support and clearance to the formulation strategy, trade-dress/packaging strategies. - Devising and reviewing design-around strategy, invalidation strategy, and Freedom to Operate (FTO) strategies while highlighting IP risks to stakeholders. - Conducting IP Due Diligence activities independently for In-License projects. - Identifying critical IP issues and timely communication with managers and stakeholders. - Collaborating with various stakeholders including formulation scientists, Regulatory Affairs, portfolio team, and commercial team. - Monitoring IP scenario, competitive intelligence, and updating stakeholders about changes for upcoming launches. - Preparing and reviewing memos, techno-legal documents for ongoing and upcoming litigations, and coordinating with outside counsel. - Building strong relationships and aligning with cross-functional teams to achieve desired outcomes. - Demonstrating behaviors that align with organizational values such as Collaboration, Courage, Perseverance, and Passion. **Qualifications Required:** - M. Pharma in Pharmaceutics, industrial Pharmacy, or Pharmaceutical Science. - A Law degree or equivalent training, or Registered Patent Agent certification will be preferred. This role requires 2-5 years of experience in Intellectual Property Management within the pharmaceutical industry or a reputable law firm.
