Executive - Debt Management Services - Rural

Job Purpose

The Debt Management Specialist is responsible for managing delinquent accounts, recovering overdue payments, and maintaining strong financial relationships with clients.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Achieve collections target by visiting customers/agency.
  • Monitor performance against set parameters and provide regular updates.
  • Ensure legal guidelines are complied with while repossessing products.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.
  • Handle escalations promptly and effectively to resolve issues.
  • Daily DRR (Daily Risk Report) management.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve collection rates.
  • Manage a team of collection officers to achieve overall targets.
  • Rectify problems encountered during the collection process.
  • Manage average collection reports to monitor and improve collection performance.
  • Case to case tracking.
  • Resolution as per AOP within agreed timelines.
  • Portfolio management.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience in debt collection and recovery, preferably in a rural context.
  • Experience with daily risk report (DRR) management.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and legal proceedings related to collections.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a collections team.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective debt collection strategies.
  • Proficiency in record keeping, reporting, and portfolio management.
  • Experience coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical skills for reporting and risk management.
