Job Purpose

The Debt Management Specialist will be responsible for managing and coordinating the recovery of overdue payments on loans or credit accounts.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Achieve collections targets by visiting customers/agencies.
• Monitor performance against set parameters and provide regular updates.
• Ensure legal guidelines are complied with while repossessing products.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.
• Provide regular reports on collection activities and performance.
• Handle escalations promptly and effectively to resolve issues.
• Daily DRR (Daily Risk Report) management.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve collection rates.
• Case to case tracking.
• Resolution as per AOP within agreed timelines.
• Portfolio management.
• Debt collection strategy.
• Target achievement.
• Regulatory compliance.
• Reporting and analysis.
• Risk management.
• Team leadership.
• Vendor management.
• Coordinating with internal and external clients.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Experience in debt collection or recovery processes, preferably in a rural setting.
• Strong knowledge of legal and regulatory compliance in debt management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in reporting, analysis, and use of debt management tools.
• Experience in team leadership and vendor management is preferred.
• Ability to travel and visit customers/agencies as required.
