Events Officer

As an Events Officer at the University of York, you will be an integral part of the Events Team, contributing to the successful delivery of corporate and public events such as the York Festival of Ideas and VIP elements of Graduation. Your role will involve organizing and developing various events, offering events management advice, and supporting different University departments. Key Responsibilities: - Organize a variety of events for public audiences, including complex events for large audiences - Provide professional events service by developing and organizing events effectively - Offer events management advice and support to University departments - Work collaboratively with a diverse range of people within and outside the University Qualifications Required: - Experience in organizing public events, including complex events for large audiences - Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage a high workload and meet tight deadlines - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to provide exceptional experiences for speakers and audiences - Availability to work unsocial hours, including evenings and weekends, and throughout mid-May to mid-June without exception About the Company: The University of York is committed to diversity and inclusivity, striving to create a supportive environment where everyone can be themselves.
