Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Operate and monitor
ETP, STP, and WTP systems
as per standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Ensure
treated water quality
meets
PCB / statutory norms
Perform
daily checks
of pumps, blowers, motors, valves, filters, RO, softener, clarifier, aeration tanks, etc.
Monitor and adjust
chemical dosing
(PAC, polymer, acid, alkali, chlorine, nutrients, etc.)
Conduct
routine water analysis
: pH, TDS, BOD, COD, TSS, MLSS, DO, chlorine residual, etc.
Maintain
logbooks, shift reports, and compliance records
Handle
sludge dewatering systems
(filter press / centrifuge / drying beds)
Identify operational issues and coordinate with
maintenance team
for breakdowns
Ensure
zero discharge / reuse compliance
where applicable
Follow
EHS guidelines
, safety protocols, and PPE usage
Support
PCB inspections, audits, and environmental documentation
Ensure housekeeping and cleanliness of treatment plant area

Preferred candidate profile

Technical Skills & Knowledge:

Hands-on knowledge of
ETP / STP / WTP processes
Understanding of
biological & chemical treatment processes
Familiar with
pumps, blowers, compressors, dosing systems
Basic understanding of
PLC/SCADA
(preferred)
Knowledge of
statutory norms
(CPCB/SPCB)
Ability to read
P&ID drawings
and SOPs

Educational Qualification:

ITI / Diploma / B. Tech
in Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical / Environmental Engineering (B.Sc./B.Tech Environmental/Chemical is an added advantage)

Experience Requirement:

2-5 years
of hands-on experience in
ETP/STP/WTP operations
Experience in
manufacturing / food / pharma / chemical plants
preferred
