The ETL/Data Testing role involves the validation of data pipelines and processes that extract, transform, and load data.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Database and Backend Test Engineer with 5+ years of experience in testing large-scale data platforms , including Snowflake , Azure Data Services , and backend services.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement test plans for ETL processes.
Design and implement test strategies for backend systems and data pipelines across Snowflake and cloud environments.
Validate data extraction, transformation, and loading for accuracy.
Automate ETL testing processes using testing frameworks
Perform data comparison and validation using tools like Validatar.
Execute SQL-based validations for customized client-specific extracts.
Document test cases, results, and defects using standard QA tools.
QA Testing experience with good understanding of the STLC - Create test scenarios/test cases, perform reviews and execute all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression)

Qualification:

Hands on Experience in ETL Testing & Data Testing
Experience with Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and DBT
Proficiency in Validatar or similar data validation tools.
Strong understanding of ELT pipeline testing, data comparison, and validation.
Solid SQL skills for data validation and troubleshooting
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and clients.
Strong experience in analysing Requirements
Experience of agile/Scaled Agile methodology, processes and tools such as Jira, ALM etc.

Good to have skills:

Experience with Kanban or other agile methodologies
