About the Role:

ETL Tester

Key Responsibilities:

Review and analyze
ETL design documents
,
data mappings
, and
business requirements
to develop comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Perform
data validation
,
data reconciliation
, and
data integrity testing
across source and target systems.
Execute manual and automated test scripts to verify ETL workflows and data transformations.
Validate that extracted, transformed, and loaded data matches business expectations and design specifications.
Test
data extraction, transformation logic, aggregations, and loading processes
.
Identify, log, and track defects; collaborate with developers to resolve data or process discrepancies.
Conduct
performance testing
to validate ETL job efficiency and scalability.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with
automation testing frameworks
for ETL (e.g., QuerySurge, Datagaps, or custom Python/SQL automation).
Knowledge of
big data testing
with tools like
Spark, Hadoop, Hive, or Databricks
.
Exposure to
cloud ETL environments
(AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, Google Dataflow).
Understanding of
data quality tools
and
data governance frameworks
.
