Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and blueprints to determine overall project costs.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure cost accuracy.
  • Perform risk assessments and cost-benefit analyses for MEP projects.
  • Update and maintain cost databases and estimation software.
  • Review and validate contractor and supplier bids for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in the preparation of project budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Provide cost-saving recommendations and alternative solutions to optimize budget.



Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost estimating within the MEP or construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems and components.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and project management skills.
