Job Description

As an Environmental & Regulatory Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring adherence to environmental permits, EHSS regulations, and sustainability goals for GH2/GNH3 facilities. Your responsibilities will include: - Conducting environmental monitoring, risk assessments, life-cycle analyses, and impact studies. - Developing and implementing waste management, emission control, effluent treatment, and carbon reduction strategies. - Preparing reports for submission to environmental authorities and managing audits/inspections. - Leading ISO 14001/45001 implementation and continual improvement programs. In terms of Regulatory Affairs & Policy Engagement, you will be expected to: - Track, analyze, and interpret evolving policies, standards, and incentive mechanisms for hydrogen and ammonia. - Supporting project teams in securing statutory approvals, permits, and clearances from relevant authorities. - Developing regulatory compliance roadmaps and ensuring timely submissions/documentation. - Representing the company in regulatory consultations, policy forums, and industry working groups. - Advising management on opportunities arising from subsidies, carbon credits, and certification schemes. You will also collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, legal, and commercial teams to integrate environmental and regulatory requirements across the project lifecycle. Your inputs on design and operational practices will be crucial to ensure environmental sustainability and regulatory alignment. Additionally, you will champion a hydrogen/ammonia safety culture by integrating HAZOP/HAZID and PSM practices with regulatory frameworks. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelors/masters in environmental engineering, Environmental Science, Law, Public Policy, or related discipline. - 6-10 years of experience in environmental management and regulatory affairs in hydrogen, ammonia, fertilizers, or process industries. - Strong knowledge of Indian and international environmental regulations, HSE standards, and hydrogen/ammonia-specific guidelines. - Familiarity with Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), and emission mitigation technologies. - Experience in regulatory compliance, permitting processes, and policy advocacy. - Strong documentation, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills. Your required skills will encompass a strong understanding of Indian and international environmental regulations, experience in regulatory compliance and permitting processes, as well as proficient documentation and reporting skills. Preferred skills include familiarity with Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), along with experience in policy advocacy.,
