Environmental Management Cambridge Teacher (High & Senior)

We’re looking for a passionate Geography / EM teacher, who have a heart for engaging with the next generation and has proven experience teaching in Cambridge Level Geography and EM subjects.

Responsibilities:

• Teach

  : Effectively teach high-quality lessons which meet the teaching objectives and suit the needs of all your students – using innovative teaching methods to stimulate their intellectual curiosity and growth.

• Keep Up-to-Date

  : Show thorough knowledge of your speciality/subject – taking account of curriculum advancements that are relevant to your work.

• Planning:

  Efficiently demonstrate lesson planning with a clear identification of teaching objectives, curriculum content, student targets and lesson structures. This would include planning for assessments and assignments.

• Evaluate:

  Monitor and assess your students’ progress to gauge how well they are responding to your teaching and provide constructive feedback to help foster their development – including intervening and supporting students that are underachieving and not moving towards their targets.

• Relational:

  Be approachable with students and their parents/guardians – specifically being ready to present and engage with parents/guardians with regards to their children/ward’s progress.

• Be Flexible:

  We live in a time where learning can take many forms: classroom-based, online or being blended – and so we’re looking for someone that can adapt to new realities and ensure that their teaching methods adapt effectively as well. We also look for teachers that are happy to be involved in the larger life of the school, including it’s co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.

Qualifications:

• A B.Ed. in the relevant subject area
• Post Graduate in Environmental Science or Geology or M.A in Geography
• A creative & enthusiastic approach to teaching
• Proven experience of teaching Cambridge Level Geography / Environment Management subjects.
• Experience in conducting continuous evaluation of student performance
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work with students, parents and fellow staff
