Environmental Health and Safety Officer

Role & responsibilities

Workplace & Vehicle Safety

• Conduct regular inspections of office, premises, and transport

areas to identify hazards.

• Maintain compliance with ISO/OH&S standards and statutory

safety regulations.

• Monitor and enforce vehicle safety protocols, including driver and

vehicle compliance.

• Implement ergonomic and occupational health measures for office

and operational staff.

Fire & Emergency Management

• Organize fire drills, firefighting training, and coordinate AMC for fire

safety equipment.

• Maintain emergency preparedness plans, safety kits, and

evacuation procedures.

• Support CISF in security coordination and emergency response.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Conduct safety audits, identify gaps, and implement corrective and

preventive actions (CAPA).

• Manage incidents, accidents, insurance claims, and perform root-

cause analysis for prevention.

• Maintain safety records, documentation for audits, and risk

assessment reports.

Coordination & Reporting

• Liaise with internal teams and external vendors for safety training,

equipment, and audits.

• Prepare reports on workplace and transport safety, incident

investigations, compliance, and preventive measures.

Technology & Sustainability

• Use safety monitoring tools and reporting systems to track

incidents, compliance, and improvements.

• Promote safety awareness, eco-friendly practices, and sustainable

operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive 100% compliance with workplace, vehicle, and OHS safety

standards.

• Reduce accident rates and improve safety culture organization

wide.

• Implement preventive measures for health, fire, and transport

safety.

• Maintain proper documentation for audits, insurance claims, and

risk assessments.
