Job Description

Job Title:

Job Purpose:

To operate, monitor, and maintain Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP), Multi-Effect Evaporator (MEE), and Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems to ensure compliance with environmental standards and regulatory requirements, while supporting continual improvement in safety, housekeeping, and sustainability practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and monitor ETP, MEE, and RO systems in the shift and maintain process parameters.
Ensure smooth functioning and upkeep of all equipment in the effluent treatment section.
Conduct routine maintenance checks and coordinate for timely preventive/corrective maintenance.
Carry out effluent sampling, analysis, and maintain accurate records/documentation.
Ensure safe and compliant disposal of ETP sludge to BEIL site and monitor hazardous/general waste generation records.
Liaise with external agencies (AEPS, NCTL, BEIL, etc.) and authorities for sampling, inspections, and compliance requirements.
Verify effluent discharge parameters and ensure compliance with prescribed limits before disposal.
Conduct plant rounds to monitor effluent treatment operations, discharge points, and housekeeping standards.
Maintain and update departmental records, logbooks, and statutory compliance documents.
Support and assist Sr. Manager/Manager in EMS 14001 and OHSAS 18001 related activities, audits, and documentation.
Promote good housekeeping practices, including cleaning of drains, chambers, and surrounding areas.
Build and maintain good working relationships with internal customers and external stakeholders.
