Job Description

The Environment Expert will be responsible for leading environmental assessments, statutory compliance, safeguard documentation, and implementation support for infrastructure projects. The role requires strong knowledge of Indian environmental regulations, international funding agency guidelines, and hands-on experience in EIA/EMP preparation and implementation monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct and lead Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Environmental Management Plan (EMP) studies for projects such as:

Solid Waste Management
Water Supply & Sewerage
Road and Highway Development
Metro and Urban Transport Systems
Other Urban Infrastructure Projects Prepare Initial Environmental Examination (IEE) and monitor EMP implementation for projects funded by agencies like World Bank (WB), Asian Development Bank (ADB), JICA, etc. Ensure compliance with Indian statutory environmental regulations, including obtaining and maintaining permits and clearances. Support project teams in securing and maintaining environmental approvals including:
Consent to Establish (CtE)
Consent to Oper
