Role Overview: As a Senior Ariba Engineer at BP, your primary responsibility is to design and maintain the Ariba and Fieldglass solution for BP colleagues and external users. You will be working in a dynamic and commercially focused environment with the support of one of the world's largest Digital organizations and leading IT vendors. Key Responsibilities: - Leading full lifecycle implementations of SAP Ariba solutions, which includes requirements gathering, system configuration, testing, training, and release support. - Analyzing business processes related to procurement, contingent workforce management, and supplier management to identify areas for improvement and develop optimized solutions within Ariba and Fieldglass. - Crafting and configuring Ariba and Fieldglass solutions to meet specific business needs, including integrations with other SAP and non-SAP systems. - Managing or performing customizations and extensions to Ariba and Fieldglass, often involving working with ABAP developers or using Ariba's or Fieldglass's own development tools. - Ensuring flawless integration between Ariba/Fieldglass and other systems, such as SAP ERP (S/4HANA), other procurement or ERP solutions, and third-party applications. - Leading design, development, testing, and deployment of SAP Fieldglass Contingent Worker (CW) and Statement of Work (SOW). - Working with users and business analysts to understand requirements. - Supporting and maintaining your software with a DevOps approach. Qualifications Required: - A degree in Computer Science or other technical fields (e.g., Physics, Engineering) or equivalent commercial experience. - 8 to 10 years of experience with a minimum of 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in SAP Ariba implementations. - Deep-seated functional knowledge, hands-on design, and delivery experience using SAP Ariba and Fieldglass. - Proficiency in SAP Systems Design, SAP Technical Specialism, and SAP Systems Integration. - Familiarity with SAP Fieldglass Contingent Worker (CW) and Statement of Work (SOW), SAP Fieldglass Integration with SAP Ariba and SAP ECC, SAP Ariba SLP, AN, B&I, S2C, ICS, SAP Cloud Integration Gateway, and SAP ECC MM integration points to Finance, PM, IS-OIL, Tax. - Strong understanding of modern technologies, software development lifecycle, and technical integration. - Experience in planning, designing, and delivering sophisticated solutions across multiple products and organizational units. Additional Company Details: - The role requires a broad understanding of the Oil & Gas Business, combined with a pragmatic and delivery-focused attitude, deep technical expertise, flexibility, and a willingness to be involved in projects on a hands-on basis. - Skills and experience in SAP MDG, VIM, OpenText, SAP S/4 HANA, SAP Central Procurement, leadership, Agile methodologies, user story definition, application support, emerging technology monitoring, Azure and/or AWS, business risk management, systems development management, business modeling, monitoring, and telemetry tools, user experience analysis are preferred. - Key behaviors expected include being empathetic, curious, creative, inclusive, and having good interpersonal skills. - The position is a hybrid of office/remote working. - Relocation assistance within the country is available if needed. - No travel is expected with this role.
