Job Description

Relevant Experience:

Qualification:

Professional Experience:

Manage and maintain the Enterprise Backup systems.
Proficiency in Veritas/Commvault back tools. Preference would be given if having expertise on both the tools (Veritas, Commvault)
Ensure backups are run to schedule and retention is met & verifying afull backup jobs.
Maintain an audit trail of backups and restores.
Provide reports on job success/failure. Raise event alerts.
Perform file restore operations as required.
Backup client Installation/Troubleshooting.
Working knowledge of Enterprise Backup tools like Commvault/Veritas/HPDP.
Co-ordination with OEM like Commvault/Veritas for troubleshooting / support.
Hands-on experience on Linux OS & troubleshooting basic/advance issues & incidents.
Basic working experience on Windows OS, Windows Cluster, Active Directory & troubleshooting basic issues & incidents.
Should be aware of IT Service Management (ITSM) process including Incident/Problem/Change Management.
Basic knowledge of any ITSM (Ticketing) tool & System Monitoring tools.
Adept at handling day-to-day administrative activities in coordination with internal /external departments.

Other Details:

This position will require travel to DC Site for Break-Fix/Contingency/Lights On activities.
