Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the

  enterprise architecture roadmap

  for retail business domains (eCommerce, POS, inventory, order management, etc.)
• Align IT strategy with business goals, particularly across

  store, digital, and supply chain

  channels
• Evaluate and select technology platforms (ERP, CRM, WMS, OMS, analytics, cloud, etc.)
  
• Lead the architecture design for

  digital transformation initiatives

  such as:
• Unified commerce
  
• Omnichannel enablement
  
• Customer 360 / personalization
  
• Retail analytics and AI
  
• In-store tech modernization (e.g., IoT, smart checkout)
  
• Drive integration strategy using APIs, middleware, and event-driven architectures
  
• Define and enforce enterprise-wide architecture standards, principles, and governance
  
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, and product managers
  
• Oversee architectural assessments for new products, vendors, and platforms
  
• Ensure scalability, performance, and security in technology decisions
  
• Provide leadership in IT investment prioritization, roadmap planning, and technology innovation

Preferred Skills

• Certifications in TOGAF, AWS/Azure Architect, SAP Retail, or similar
  
• Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  
• Experience with MACH architecture (Microservices, API-first, Cloud-native, Headless)
  
• Strong documentation and communication skills for executive-level presentations

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  
• 10+ years of IT experience, including 35 years in enterprise or solution architecture
  
• Deep experience in the

  retail domain

  , ideally across multiple sub-sectors (grocery, fashion, specialty retail, etc.)
• Proven track record of large-scale architecture leadership (digital retail, ERP modernization, etc.)
  
• Strong knowledge of

  enterprise architecture frameworks

  (TOGAF, Zachman, ArchiMate)
• Experience in

  cloud platforms

  (AWS, Azure, GCP), SaaS retail solutions, and microservices architecture
• Understanding of data privacy, PCI-DSS, and regulatory compliance in the retail context
